Dangers of vermiculite Insulation

I found this insulation in an attic during a recent inspection in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a type of insulation called vermiculite which was produced by a company in Libby, Montana from 1919 to 1990. This mine provided 70% of all vermiculite sold in the US. This insulation also has been contaminated with asbestos. If you have this in your attic, be careful not to disturb it and always wear respiratory protection and consider replacement.
