Dryer and Bathroom Vents
Dryer and bathroom vents need to be vented to the open air. They are typically routed through the attic and roof coverings and out through a roof vent housing. Occasionally, we come across vents like the one pictured here that is venting directly into the attic space. This is not desirable because dryer vents convey hot, moist air that contains clothing lint into an already hot and humid space. Lint will accumulate and is combustible so it creates a fire hazard. When discovered, these vents should be addressed and corrected.
