Open Gaps

When we perform an exterior inspection, one of the things to look for are if there are any open gaps. These openings can allow moisture intrusion and pest intrusion into the home. One area that needs to be checked is the pipe chase for the HVAC system. Typically, the piping is run through a chase that enters the home from the exterior wall. The opening of the chase should be sealed.
